Yes, authors can edit or delete a comment. It is also possible to delete multiple selected comments at once from the administration panel.

It is also possible to protect yourself from spammers using Google's anti-spam Captcha on comments. This feature is not enabled on the demo, but it is easy to configure in the comment management settings.

By the way, you can see that I'm the article's author, since you see a small icon next to my name indicating my author status.
